seminary volunteer program

Kedma’s Volunteer Program for seminary students enables gap year students to give back in a meaningful way by partnering with non-profit organizations, schools, and creating a skills-building volunteer track which includes a medical clowning program, United Hatzalah training, and working with the deaf. For 2019-20, Kedma will be working with students from Midreshet Moriah, Midreshet Torah V’Avodah, Midreshet Eshel, and Ba’er Miriam.

cohort program

Kedma’s new Program will work with a select group of gap year students from seminaries all over Israel, who share a passion for volunteerism and are interested in giving back beyond their schools’ weekly chesed time. This group will develop their interest in volunteering by taking service learning trips, hearing from super-givers, and by being introduced to different resources in Israeli society.

Choir competition

The Kedma-YU Inter-Seminary Choir Competition is a hallowed tradition for gap-year students. In preparation for the competition, students spend weeks investing in their creativity by developing programs rich with song, dance, and design that are related to the theme of gemillut chasadum. Additionally, this competition fosters the building of an inter-seminary community by bringing together over 1500 women.
